Intrepid Solutions, a CIS Secure company, is pursuing a new contract supporting a DoD customer near Beachville, MD. We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team as a part of our pursuit of this opportunity and as a key person at the start of the contract. You will contribute to the mission-critical development and sustainment of Counter Uncrewed Systems (CUXS) by integrating cutting-edge RF technologies to detect, characterize, mitigate, and assess drone threats. As a senior engineer, you’ll work closely with combined Government-Industry teams in a product-based environment, ensuring technical excellence and agility in support of the warfighter. We expect this work to begin in March, 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Independently perform advanced engineering tasks and provide subject matter expertise in RF systems and subsystems.
  • Apply engineering principles to investigate, analyze, design, develop, implement, test, and evaluate military-grade RF systems and support tools.
  • Review and produce detailed technical reports, engineering analyses, change proposals, and related documentation.
  • Lead and support systems engineering functions including system integration, configuration management (CM), quality assurance (QA) testing, and resource management.
  • Design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate hardware and software components related to functional requirements of RF systems, lab equipment, and management information systems.
  • Lead the execution of complex tasks and serve as a technical authority on assigned projects.
  • Support logistics engineering, training, supply control, laboratory maintenance, and spectrum authorization processes as related to CUXS.

OPERATING HOURS AND EXPECTATIONS:

  • This position anticipates onsite work at the customer location near Patuxent River, MD with standard work hours, Monday-Friday. 
    • Some telework may be considered with pre-approval from the customer.

TRAVEL:

  • Minimal travel is expected, <10%.

Qualifications

CLEARANCE:

  • Active Top Secret  clearance required at the time of application for initial consideration. *This position is not open to clearance sponsorship, upgrade, or reactivation.*

EDUCATION:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
    • Four (4) additional years of experience and a Bachelor's degree may be substituted for the Master's degree requirement.

 

CERTIFICATION(S):

  • None required.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 8 years of engineering experience, with demonstrated expertise in RF systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in technical leadership and systems integration.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate in cross-functional Government-Industry teams.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Prior support of military or government engineering efforts related to airborne or counter-UAS systems.
  • Familiarity with DoD acquisition lifecycle and associated engineering documentation.

This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base salary for the advertised job, promotion, or transfer opportunity. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. The actual salary offered may vary based on various factors including but not limited to relevant experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, education, geographic location, as well as internal equity, and alignment to market data.

Job Type: Full-time (onsite)

Pay Range: $130,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
