We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer for a future opportunity expected to begin in October, 2025. This work will be supporting a DoD customer on a 5 year effort developing architectures in response to the systems requirements, and designing and developing systems, subsystems, equipment, and implementation technologies to achieve optimized, integrated operational space and ground systems.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct system-level assessments and engineering analyses to evaluate the effectiveness of satellite and communications systems in achieving mission objectives, with an emphasis on multi-INT data fusion and exploitation.
  • Formulate and refine system design concepts and engineering criteria to support the advancement of new technologies, integrating multiple stakeholder requirements into cohesive design solutions.
  • Lead system development and integration activities across mission phases, ensuring alignment with performance goals, cost constraints, and schedule requirements.
  • Resolve technical challenges resulting from evolving mission needs and shifting program requirements by applying systems engineering principles and adaptive planning.
  • Conduct continuous capability gap analyses, incorporating current and future mission needs, to inform strategic planning and architectural evolution of systems.
  • Develop and champion innovative concepts, methods, and techniques that deliver operational advantage or technological breakthroughs within assigned mission areas.

 

OPERATING HOURS AND EXPECTATIONS:

  • This position anticipates onsite work with standard work hours, Monday-Friday. 

 

TRAVEL:

  • No travel is currently anticipated for this role.

Qualifications

CLEARANCE:

  • Active Top Secret with SCI clearance required at the time of application for initial consideration. *This position is not open to clearance sponsorship, upgrade, or reactivation.*

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Engineering or Computer Science.

 

CERTIFICATION(S):

  • None required.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in the systems engineering sciences of satellite and communications systems, system development and integration, and multi-INT data production and fusion, with a primary focus assessing and demonstrating the effectiveness of new concepts and ideas for systems in achieving particular mission goals, formulating overall design concepts, developing criteria to establish the baseline for advancement of state-of-the-art engineering efforts as well as reviewing and assessing overall progress in the development effort phases, resolving technical challenges that can occur due to dynamic changes in characteristics, approach, criteria, and requirements, and integrating stakeholder requirements and multiple design approaches while addressing overall program risk, cost, and schedule constraints.

  • Demonstrated ability to Plan, organize and execute mission related advanced system planning for assigned missions or program areas.

  • Ability to develop system flow-down requirements specifying top level system requirements and their flow down relationships with individual subsystems.

Job Type: Full-time (onsite)

Pay Range: $150,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
