Intrepid Solutions is seeking a Senior Audio Visual (AV) Programmer  with a knowledge of programming AMX and Creston systems to maintain the existing AV capabilities within DIA facilities located at the DIA Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling headquarters. Ensure the customer has the communication tools necessary to successfully execute the mission of the Operations and Maintenance Team, which has a large responsibility within the facilities.  Normal agency meetings via VTC are the most common used along with MS Teams. 

 

This AV Programmer will provide lifecycle maintenance and support for all Audio Video systems.  In addition to maintaining the AV equipment and electronics, provide direct support for VTC capabilities, work on new designs and integration with multiple Intrepid AV teams who are building new spaces, performing upgrades and patches, and assist with customer training. The home worksite for this position is DIA's space within Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, with a potential consideration to be seated out of Reston, VA for the right candidate.  This Senior AV Programmer will provide support to other DIA facilities within the Northern Virginia region, as needed. 

 

This position may qualify for relocation assistance to the National Capital Region for the elected candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize AMX and Crestron programming skills to manage, operate, and maintain a large array of AV equipment and AV suites.
  • Perform AV programming tasks in a timely and quality-conscious manner.
  • Manage customer needs and schedules along with prioritization of work across a broad enterprise of AV systems with varying levels of usage and dependencies.
  • Perform touch panel design and configuration, read, and interpret electronic schematics to troubleshoot, and repair systems.
  • Assist with customer training and knowledge/use transfer within a diverse customer base in a sensitive work environment.  
  • Work as a key member of a team to assist with troubleshooting and solutioning to ensure high-visibility systems remain available and fully functional. 
  • Use advanced knowledge of AV, control signal flow, and test equipment to troubleshoot systems.
  • Remain current within the industry, trends, and emerging technologies.

  

OPERATING HOURS AND EXPECTATIONS: This is a full-time position that operates 100% onsite unless otherwise indicated by, and at the discretion of, the Program Manager and customer. Work will occur between the operating hours of 0600 and 1800.

 

 

TRAVEL: This position will require some local travel to various Customer sites for installations and other project objectives. This travel will be within the DMV.

 

Qualifications

CLEARANCE:  

 

Active TS/SCI with CI poly is required for onsite work. Candidates must have a minimum of a TS/SCI, and ability to sit and pass a CI Polygraph for selected candidates to meet the customer's onsite requirements.

***This position is not open for any additional clearance upgrades outside of the CI Poly, to include reactivation, or sponsorship. ***

 

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree in Electronics or a related field OR completion of an apprenticeship program and equivalent years of work-related experience.

 

 

CERTIFICATION(S):  One or more of the following certifications is preferred:

  • Programming and/or design certifications for AMX (required)
  • Programming and/or design certifications for Crestron (desired)
  • Certified Broadcast Networking Engineer (CBNE) (desired)
  • Certified Technology Specialist-Designer (CTS-D) (desired)
  • Cisco Network Administrator (CNA), or equivalent (desired)
  • Other AV Programming training and certifications that are relevant to this work (desired)

  

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 10+ years of experience in the field of AV Engineering, Design, Programming, and lifecycle Maintenance.
  • Senior-level AMX programming experience.
  • Experience working as a senior member of an AV design and integration team.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task across a portfolio of AV projects and initiatives.
  • Effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience communicating directly with customers, vendors, and service providers to foster strong relationships and a positive and collaborative environment.

 

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  •  Experience working with other programming languages (e.g., Crestron, Extron, Biamp, VBrick).
