Intrepid is seeking a skilled System Administrator who will install, configure, and integrate Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence on deployed platforms in key places across the globe.  Candidate must have strong technical skills in networking, software installs and Linux system administration in order to install, configure and troubleshoot software installs in both Windows and Linux environments. The System Administrator should be able to assist the efforts and meet the qualifications outlined below:

 

Responsibilities

  • Installs, configures and integrates Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence on deployed platforms in key place across the globe.
  • Installs, configure and troubleshoot software installs in both Windows and Linux environments. 

 

OPERATING HOURS AND EXPECTATIONS:

  • This position consists of CONUS training out of Fairfax, VA.  Anticipated 3-4 weeks for completion.
  • After successful training period, position will operate on 11 month deployment periods at a designated Combat Zone Location.
  • Operational hours will be variable based on assignment.

 

TRAVEL: Position requires >90% based on assignment, OCONUS.

 

Qualifications

CLEARANCE: Active Top Secret with SCI ***Top Secret (TS)/SCI required upon application for initial consideration.   This position is not open for any clearance upgrades reactivation, or sponsorship.***

 

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and 4 years experience
  • If non-degreed, 8 years of direct experience

CERTIFICATION(S):

  • Must have current or be able to obtain (within 90 days of start date) DOD IAT Level II certification.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Skilled in Linux and Windows systems administration
  • Extensive knowledge of computer networking
  • Familiarity with FMV or IP streaming tools and technologies, i.e., UDP multicast, FFMPED, Graph Studio, VLC
  • Experience with virtualized/containerized systems especially Docker
  • Experience integrating COTS solutions into government networks
  • Must be able to work closely with others as a team player and effectively communicate amongst peers

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience with firewalls, routers and switches
  • Experience with virtualization technologies
  • Experience with Active Directory
  • Experience Linux (preferably RHEL) administration
  • Basic understanding of various scripting languages
